About LA MAMMA ~ Creative

LA MAMMA ~ is a boutique creative design firm founded by designer and art advisor Genevieve Badone Assili, in honor of her beautiful mom Susan who lived life with a “Joie de Vivre” so vibrant, she kindled it in others.

Genevieve believes in creating memorable and impactful spaces through thoughtfully curated design. She doesn’t just design a room, she evokes feelings. With her laid back California aesthetic and an eclectic design approach, her work oozes an affinity for art, heirlooms & found objects, making her the go-to for clients who seek a unique beauty.

Today LA MAMMA provides professional design and art advisory services for private residences and collectors. LA MAMMA also provides styling & art direction for editorial publications.

Our small team works in partnership with the most talented artisans and trades from all over the world to bring our distinct vision to fruition. Light filled rooms, colorful textiles and area rugs, bits of mother nature, modern and vintage pieces, mixed metals, art, art and more art... those are the main elements that define and always distinguish a LA MAMMA home.

A Peek Into Her Past…

With having extensive training in art history, textile sciences & design, Genevieve has worked in the art & design industry for the past 15 years.
She holds a degree in design and has attended programs at Central Saint Martins London, Art Academy London, followed by the continuing education program through Christie’s Education. Her background, experiences and travels have paved the way for a lovely and fulfilling creative career in the art and design world.

Where Her Heart Lies…

When Genevieve isn’t creating at work she is LIVING for her family. She is married to the LOVE of her life and they are raising two BEAUTIFUL young men together, Dublin James and Griffin Grey who are the LIGHTS of their life. They get to call the STUNNING Santa Barbara, California home and enjoy exploring her from the sea to the mountains and everything in between. They BELIEVE in soaking up as much natural beauty as possible, TOGETHER. They count themselves as some of the LUCKY ONES.
